Isaiah 43: 18 - 19a

a          Resit – a Hebrew word meaning:
                        (i)         The first as in a series Gen 1:1 – God is the God of History/Events Isa 41:1- 4. Where you are is as a result of a turn of events from God. Set up!
                        (ii)        First as in foundational – e.g The fear of God =Beginning/foundational to wisdom  Ps 111:10; The fear of God = Beginning/foundational to knowledge.  Prov. 1:7. You cannot guide your life in wisdom & knowledge without the fear of God
b         Tehillah – a Hebrew word meaning Beginning of a specific time  e.g the beginning of a year. Ps 102:13.God has set times for festivals, For redemptions etc


a          The Greek
arche arche is sometimes rendered
                        (i)         to “rule”, “authority” or to “decree”
                        If you want to have a beginning, decree it and take authority over situations
                        (ii)        to “prioritize”. Christ’s will has to be the priority of your life! Without this authority is absent.
                        (iii)       Temporary nature of things John 15:27 speaks of the beginning of birth pains. Beginnings are not always refreshing but have necessary pains to bring about a lessing



The Steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord.
You are where you are by God’s appointment
You are where you are under God’s training
You are where you are for God’s time
